Praying for Boys Review

As a mother of two boys, I love learning new ways to pray for my boys and encourage them. Brooke Mcglothlin does a wonderful job of relating to mothers of boys and providing an incredible resource for how to pray for our sons. She is funny and relevant and gives great wisdom from the Bible.

Different sections include topics such as wisdom, pride, honor, purity, peace, and patience. I highly recommend his book to mothers, fathers, grandparents, and anyone who works with boys and wants to see them grow in the knowledge of the Lord. It's a great resource and an engaging read!

Parenting is often a hard and lonely road we walk. Having a prodigal child can make it even more isolated. Prayers for Prodigals is a wonderful resource for when you are feeling despair on your parenting journey. Each day is a verse to meditate on and a heartfelt prayer filled with scripture to uplifted encourage, and renew your weary soul. I especially liked having prayers when it felt like my own prayers had run dry. To have pre written prayers for your child can be such an encouragement when you are feeling lost and hopeless. Bible Promises and Prayers for Children

Bible Promises and Prayers for Children is a powerful and useful book for families. I loved each section and felt like the size of each devotional made it so it was not overwhelming for my family to do together. It’s a privilege and blessing to pray over and with my children and I’m grateful for this book to be able to have a quick and easy way to impart truth, love, and encouragement into my kids. Dangerous Love: A True Story of Tragedy, Faith, and Forgiveness Review

Wow! I was not able to put down Dangerous Love. It is a riveting, heartbreaking, faith inspiring true story about a father and daughter who must face the unthinkable: forgiveness in the face of no remorse. Ray and his daughter Hannah show true love that only comes from faith in Christ. Living in Mauritania as World Relief workers, they see the good, the bad, and the ugly of cross cultural living. Throughout the whole book, you are amazed at their faith and the love they show. I highly recommend this book to anyone who would like to see their faith in God restored. It's such an uplifting and incredible reminder of how God's love for us is like Ray and Hannah and their family's love shown to their attacker. Completely undeserved...but what an amazing God we serve who not only showed us this love but enables us to shower others with it, too. A must read!!
