Jesus Calling For Little Ones Review

I loved Jesus Calling and when I saw that Sarah Young had written a devotional for young children, I knew I had to get it. It's perfect for 2-4 year olds. My boys love this book and ask me to read it to them all the time. Each page is a separate truth that helps little ones understand just how much Jesus loves them. The illustrations are so pretty and the verses and truths are perfect ways to open the door to talk with your preschoolers about Jesus. My boys couldn't believe that God knows how many hairs are on their heads! I love that it is a board book and can withstand their play. I recommend this book to anyone with a pre-schooler. Great for churches, parents, grandparents, and babysitters. My 4 year old likes to "read" it to himself when we get into the car. Thank you to Book Look Bloggers for letting me have a free review copy.

Home is Where my People Are Review

Such a cute memoir! Perfect beach read this summer. Sophie Hudson has such a fun way of sharing her story and her book "Home is Where My People Are" is a quick, uplifting read. She shares her story from growing up to present day. I love how she weaves her faith into each chapter. I laughed at her Southern stories and was encouraged by her uplifting story. Unafraid:

Unafraid:  Trusting God in an Unsafe World   by Susie Davis is such a good read! It's relatable, intense, authentic, uplifting, and heartfelt. Susie Davis went through a very traumatic event as a young person and she shares how that event shaped her for better and for worse. She shares her true feelings about how God is still good even in the midst of pain and suffering. It's an incredible story and has so many amazing teaching points. I loved the chance to read it and walked away with with a renewed sense of God's goodness even in the midst of suffering. Susie's style of writing is so relatable and I felt so encouraged by her story. I highly recommend this book to any woman struggling with fear. Fear can be so multi faceted and "Unafraid" speaks to so many different parts of them.

Savor Book Review

I love Shauna Niequist's books and her devotional is no different. Each day is a short devotional with a Bible verse and a few questions. Every few days she includes one of her awesome recipes. The questions at the end of the devo are my favorite. They are very thought provoking and it gives me time to process the verse and the phase of life I am in currently. I love her style of writing and the stories she tells that makes you feel like you can relate to everything she says. Her honesty and authenticity are very refreshing and a welcome start to my day! I recommend this book to busy moms, college girls, foodies, and book clubs. It would be a great devo to read and each month get together and make on of the recipes and talk about your favorite question, verse, or story. I received this book for free from Book Look Bloggers. My opinions are my own.
